Loveladies on Long Beach Island NJ is a part of Long Beach Township and is generally considered to be the most expensive real estate on Long Beach Island or “LBI”. Loveladies takes its name from Thomas Loveladies who once owned the major of the area now known as “Loveladies”. The area is known for its large property sizes and enormous tracts of land with large homes. Loveladies is located between Barnegat Light to the north and Harvey Cedars to the south

All things being equal, Loveladies NJ real estate on Long Beach Island New Jersey is considered to be the most expensive real estate on Long Beach Island NJ. The area is know for its privacy and large, estate like homes. The area is comprised almost entirely of single family homes and on larger lots. Whereas many lots on Long Beach Island NJ are 40x100 or 50x100, most lots in Loveladies are 100x100 or larger. Currently, the largest home on Long Beach Island is located in Loveladies at over 18,000 sq feet! There are a few interesting facts to consider when buying real estate in Loveladies NJ:

  • Addresses-Unlike most areas of Long Beach Island NJ, Loveladies has numbered “tracts” instead of named streets. These are private tracts that are owned by the property owners.
  • Beach Access- Although all beaches are public on Long Beach Island, there are only two public beach access points in Loveladies.
  • Deeded Bay and Ocean Access-Due to the lack of public beach access points, some homes on the bayside have deeded beach access across an Oceanside tract of land. If a property has a deeded access point, the value in considerably higher as the owner of the house has the ability to access the beach. Likewise, some Oceanside homes have deeded bay access so the owners of these properties have access to the bay.
